BMP Academy is an extension of Braids Made Perfect founded by Deanna Johnson. She learned how to braid from one of the best in the hair industry growing up. Her mother, also known as Paulette’s Beauty Touch salon taught her the foundation of braiding and running a business. Since a young girl she has grown to love the art and has now made it her full-time job. Deanna had her first job in grade 9 as a braider. She would charge $50-$60 for her peers to get their hair done. The passion of braiding hair has always been there but now Deanna has found a new passion and this one will help teach many how to become a Boss Braider. It is her goal to educate women through these courses and to teach them everything she knows and has mastered in the Protective Hairstyle World. Deanna wants to pass on to YOU what her mom passed on to her which is a skill that will last forever! It was by far the greatest investment in the world. Deanna has not only mastered the craft and built her business from the ground up but she has also had the opportunity to speak at events, work on sets with artists as well as had opportunities to travel. Being a braider is more than just about braiding hair. The sky is the limit and nothing is impossible if you put your mind to it. “Give a woman a fish and you feed her for the day.
